Plenty of space to echo, Switzerland might just be the perfect place to do the trance sounds justice. One thing's for sure - they've got the queen of trance living there. Tatana has been bringing the noise since the mid 90's, when dance music put a never-ending spell upon her.
With DJ sets at big raves and festivals, Tatana Sterba worked herself up as a member of Switzerland's premier trance league. It didn't take long before she faced the next challenge, as the production side of music beckoned upon her. Taking her talent and skills to the next level, Tatana shocked the charts with 'Dream Off', 'End Of Time' and 'Words'. Her prolific mix compilations for massive events such as Energy and the Zürich Street Parade were the first steps to world domination. 'Dobenbeck - Please Don't Go' was her latest global hit, which led to an invitation of looking after the 8th edition of the Trance World series.

With 5 UK top 30 hits and countless buzz chart listings to back them up, Christopher Agnew and Robert Nelson have been making waves across the trance scene for more than 10 years already. Working under A&N Project, Cortez, Afterburn or simply as Agnelli & Nelson, these Irish lads know all about building a proper mix of the latest trance bangers and progressive highlights. The name Mike Dierickx might not instantly ring a bell. But once we start talking about M.I.K.E., Push, Plastic Boy, Absolute or one of the other 60 aliases he guised his productions under, you know we’re talking about one of the best producers the trance scene has to offer. Some of the tracks by Belgian producer/DJ M.I.K.E. have grown out to legendary classics, like ‘Universal Nation’ and ‘Strange World’ under his Push guise. With almost 15 years of producing and DJ experience behind him, 6 albums in his discography and an unstoppable drive to bring his sounds to the masses, the new Trance World, Volume 6, has found a worthy follow-up mixer for John O’Callaghan, Sean Tyas, Signum, Robert Nickson and Aly&Fila.
M.I.K.E. selected some of his personal favourites and blended them into a this flowing mix. ‘Trance World Volume 6’ contains the freshest releases trance has to offer, by producers like Jaytech, Rex Mundi, Armin van Buuren, Rank 1, Signalrunners, Sebastian Brandt and many more. For the album, M.I.K.E. made a special anthem track, ‘Trance World’, making this album extra special. If anyone’s aware of what the world has to offer, it’s got to be multi-national Producer/DJ Robert Nickson. With an English father, a Norwegian mother, being born in England and now living in Holland, it’s needless to say Robert has the travelling virus in his blood. But there’s something else that makes this young man’s heart rumble: trance.
His interest in trance was there from the very beginning of his childhood. But it wasn’t until 2001 that he really started to pour out his passion into his own productions. He quickly picked up the technical references and in 2003 saw the birth of his first release: ‘5th Dimension’, a team up with Dave Masters. It opened up a whole new world for the young lad, as it led to many more releases. ‘Spiral’, one of Robert’s many brainwaves, even turned out to be one of trance’s all-time classics and serves the hunger of any trance addict.
And here’s another one to ease the yearning with a new dose of delicious trance. ‘Trance World Volume 5’ is a mix compilation with the best in trance selected by Robert Nickson. The enigmatic Irishman, John O`Callaghan, took the world by storm with his haunting vocal masterpiece 'Big Sky', being the signature track (plus officially rewarded “Tune of The Year” by the listeners of Armin van Buuren`s radio show “A State of Trance) of the year 2007 which has tantalized and encapsulated crowds into singing the lyrics back to John. This ascension through the production echelons catapulted John into the stratosphere as an artist, and he hasn't looked back since, beyond the (BIG) sky really is the limit.
International recognition aside, even with a rapidly growing number of JOC supporters across the globe, John O'Callaghan is still making waves back in the UK and Ireland. His native homeland has taken their finest DJ talent to their hearts and minds, this being well documented by his richly deserved victories as 'Best Producer' and 'Best DJ' at the recent 2008 Irish Dance Music awards.
